Asbestos Removal

 Asbestos removal is the removal of any asbestos-containing materials such as asbestos cement, asbestos insulation or asbestos lagging from a building. 

 The main aim of asbestos removal is to eliminate the risk presented from asbestos fibres through the removal of the asbestos containing materials (ACM). ACMs come in many forms and typically include boards, insulations and coatings.  

 If ACMs remain undisturbed, they will pose little risk but if the ACM is damaged or disturbed, then the microscopic asbestos fibres are released into the air and are at risk of being breathed in. When the fibres are inhaled, they can cause serious diseases. 

 Each project is managed by a competent and qualified site supervisor and also overseen by our project managers and Health & Safety team.

All Asbestos removal operatives have face fit certificates, medicals and are fully trained by a nationally recognized training provider.

 All asbestos is disposed of as hazardous waste, we hold a full waste carriers license, enabling us to transport waste to an approved hazardous waste transfer site if a skip is not required.

 If required an independent UKAS accredited company will be on hand to perform air monitoring to ensure the building or area is safe to be reoccupied once the Asbestos is removed.

 Carrying out Asbestos fibre air monitoring will assess the concentration of airborne asbestos fibre levels that have possibly been generated by the removal/remediation process to ensure that asbestos levels are of a safe limit for a building to be occupied.
